Reese Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

You gotta be kidding me? I know..right???!!! These cookies are like little gifts from heaven. If you know me...then you know I love cookies! Cookies are what makes me blow every single diet that I start. They are my trials, my tribulations, and my temptations...those DARN cookies.
Little story about these suckers! I went to visit my sister-in-law Kim at a cabin up in Pinetop Arizona. We...me, Sydney and Christian...went to order a pizza from the best darn pizza place around...Red Devil pizza. While waiting for our pie to bake, I noticed these little celophane bundles on the counter. Upon examining the package, I realized they were these gems! I bought the little bag that held 6 cookies. 2 for each of us! We gobbled them down and promised never to tell a soul about our little secret at the pizza place. Could you imagine what the other kids would say if they knew what we did...they would be furious that we didn't bring some back for them...well now I'm revealing the secret. Everytime I bake these, I think of me, Sydney and Christian popping these little prizes sitting on that red booth in Red Devil Pizza in Pinetop...is that a tongue twister?

Reese Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
Bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups

Preheat oven to 375.

Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In another bowl, combine the butter, peanut butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla.

Gradually add the flour mixture.

By the way...this is the best darn Peanut Butter Cookies recipe around...I've tried many...and this is by far the best!

I use a mini muffin pan and a mini cookie scoop. Fill each muffin hole with the batter.

Bake the cookies for 6 minutes, then pull out the oven and push down the reese peanut butter cups into each little cookie. Bake the cookies for another 3 minutes.

Once the cookies cool, you can plop them out but be careful, the chocolate is very soft. I use a butter knife to ease them out on the side.

I know Sammy Sue loves em'!

  1. I love all the pictures, very helpful...especially the last one! I have such a sweet tooth...which is probably why you don't see many sweets on my blog. If I make them I surely eat them - ALL.
